Then favour operators with a long polar track record (five seasons at minimum, ideally ten or more), experienced expedition teams and consistent traveller reviews. Be cautious with unknown agencies that demand payment by bank wire only, pressure you with vanishing "special" rates, or list prices far below every competitor — the polar community regularly documents such outfits.
