Do I need a visa or permit for Antarctica?
No visa is needed for Antarctica itself — under the Antarctic Treaty your operator obtains the required expedition permits (all reputable operators are IAATO members). You do need a valid passport, and depending on your nationality possibly a visa for the country you embark from, normally Argentina or Chile.
