One night on the ice is Antarctica's most atmospheric add-on: after dinner a small group is shuttled ashore with bivvy bags or tents, sleeps (or tries to) through the polar twilight, and returns before breakfast. No buildings, no ship hum — just cracking glaciers and the occasional penguin inspection.
Numbers are capped (often 30 per departure), it typically costs US$200–400, and it books out fast. Weather can cancel the night — fees are then refunded.
