Antarctic departures in October 2026

October is the true start of the season: the first ships push through young ice into a pristine, snow-blanketed Antarctica almost nobody else sees. Expect crisp temperatures (around −5 to 0 °C on the Peninsula), immaculate snowscapes and penguins returning to court and build nests.

Prices are among the season's lowest and ships are few. Trade-offs: heavier ice can limit landing sites, and there are no chicks yet.
