On the expedition
Penguins in vast colonies (gentoo, chinstrap and Adélie on the Peninsula; kings on South Georgia), humpback, minke and killer whales, several seal species, albatrosses and petrels. Chicks hatch in December–January, and whale sightings peak in February–March.
