Aurora Expeditions Strengthens North American Presence Following Antarctic Season

Aurora Expeditions

Aurora Expeditions reports that bookings from the US market grew 37% year over year for its 2025/26 Antarctic season, outpacing the broader North American Antarctic market's 11.5% growth as reported by IAATO. North American travelers now make up about one in three of Aurora's expedition guests. The company says this reflects increased investment in the region and strong trade partnerships.

The announcement coincides with Aurora completing its largest Antarctic season to date, operating 30 voyages and an estimated 819 landings. The company's expedition model features small groups, a 1:7 guide-to-guest ratio, and activities including Zodiac cruising, kayaking, snorkeling, skiing, camping and diving. Aurora's 2026/27 Antarctic voyages are now open for booking, offered aboard its three ships: Greg Mortimer, Sylvia Earle and Douglas Mawson.
